At the Fulbright-Hays 2022 Nigeria - 'The Asa Yoruba Project' by University of South Carolina, USA. June 19 - July 17, 2022. The one-month intensive programme focused on Yoruba customs, culture and traditions as well as the connection to African American customs, culture and traditions. The purpose of the project was to enable the visiting selected African American professional educators and researchers to interact with experts and researchers in the University of Lagos, to acquire firsthand information, as well as to gain relevant knowledge, artefacts, documents, experience and other resources to be used in the development, implementation and systematic dissemination of curricular for primary, secondary and university classrooms in South Carolina, USA. I was the Nigerian Co-Host in the one-month intensive project. The programme involved presentations on the history, politics, geography, economics and cultural traditions of Nigeria and parallels to African American tradition and culture in the United States. Among the historical places visited were traditional sites in Lagos, the Badagry slave museum and beach, Oniru's Palace and beach, Balogun market, Alake of Egbaland's Palace, Olumo rock, Adire market, Olubadan's Palace, University of Ibadan Zoological garden, Alaafin of Oyo's Palace meeting the Bashorun and the Oyo Mesi, Ataoja of Oshogbo's Palace, Osun Oshogbo groove and Ile-Ife (The Source), Ooni of Ife's Palace and many more.
