Society of Petroleum Engineers - SPE GCS Gulf Coast Section’s Post

From our initial conversations when Atlas Tennis was just an idea, we always knew that we wanted to make sure our trips were as accessible and inclusive as possible. That’s why, when Atlas launched, a scholarship program was available right from the start. In addition to the scholarships we are offering in conjunction with USTA Sections (like this one with New England: https://lnkd.in/emmENRe6), we also have a program to help players come up with ways to fundraise for their trip and will match their funds for a total savings of up to $5000. Even as the 2024 summer trips approach, we still have grant money available to offer to players looking to join us this summer. The process is simple: let us know how you want to fundraise or brainstorm with us for ideas, get started, and for each dollar you raise, we will match it, up to $2500. So if you raise $2500 through your tennis club, community, an after school job, or anything else, we will chip in another $2500. We want Atlas Tennis to provide as many tennis players as possible with the chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe to compete, train, sightsee, and be immersed in the culture. They are excited to see lots of registrations for Wednesday's Scramble Tournament. The Circling Raven requires100 golfers for a shotgun start. This would be a record number for this tournament, but Let's Do It! If you have items for the golf goodie bags let Nick or Heather know so they can make plans to gather the items and get them ready. For those who have not participated in the scramble, this is a very fun event, not to be missed.
