I recently had the opportunity to attend my second Black rodeo, the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo. This rodeo is named after Bill Pickett, a legendary Black cowboy who originated the sport of bulldogging. I was inspired to attend this rodeo after learning about the history of Black cowboys and cowgirls in the United States. Black cowboys have played a significant role in the development of the American West, but their stories are often untold. The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is a great opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Black cowboys and cowgirls. It is also a great place to see some amazing rodeo events, such as bulldogging, barrel racing, and roping. I highly recommend attending a Black rodeo if you have the opportunity. It is a great way to learn about a part of American history that is often overlooked.
