🌐 World Translation Gives Back! 🌐 Hey everyone, Marion from World Translation here! 👋 I am delighted to share some heartwarming news about our recent initiative to make a positive impact on a global scale. In December 2023, we conducted a customer survey on AI, where we were looking for valuable insights from you. We pledged to donate 1 euro for every completed questionnaire. Today, I am proud to announce that our clients' engagement has led to a successful donation of €400 to Translators without Borders! The organisation’s mission is in line with our core values of dedication, consideration, and reputation, and it resonates deeply with our commitment to communication. This global community, boasting over 100,000 members, works tirelessly to ensure that vital information reaches every corner of the world, transcending language barriers. This donation is not just a monetary contribution; it's a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared belief that language should never be a barrier to accessing essential information. We are thrilled to support Translators without Borders in their mission to help people be heard regardless of the language they speak. At World Translation, we believe that corporate responsibility goes hand in hand with providing top-notch language services. This initiative wouldn't have been possible without the active involvement of our customers, and we extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for making this endeavour a success. Thank you for being part of our journey as we strive to make a positive impact, one word at a time. Best wishes, Marion Randelshofer COO, Partner & Head of Translation Department 🌍 Bridging Borders with Words 🌍 #WorldTranslation #LanguageMatters #CorporateResponsibility #TranslatorsWithoutBorders

Tomorrow is International Translation Day. We’re taking this opportunity to thank the translators and interpreters who enrich our Capacity Strengthening and Learning Lab activities with the power of language diversity. In these dynamic spaces, we provide interpretation services in English, French, and Spanish, to ensure that our partners’ staff can fully participate and to make our interactions more understandable, transformative, and transparent. Creating ideal multilingual spaces is a journey with its share of hurdles, especially for a small nonprofit like ours. Budget constraints, time limitations, and many other challenges arise. But #LanguageJustice enables conversations while it also facilitates brainstorming, strategizing, and collaboration that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. It is one of our key principles, adding value to the investments we and our partners make. Help us continue to bridge linguistic divides. Help us to foster a world where every voice is heard and understood, by supporting WomenStrong with a donation. English to French translator | Tourism 🏖️ | Environment 🌎 | Culture💃| ✍️ Je rédige et je corrige vos textes en français | Portraitiste | Mon ➕ : 20 ans de journalisme
As a freelance translator, I'm continuously trying to develop and improve my skills in my expertise fields. But I'm also committed to use them to support NGOs. It's a win-win situation: they can rely on a reliable professionnal and I can improve my knowledge of the humanitarian sector. Since I launched my business, Rock and Owl Traductions, I've translated and reviewed several contents for Translators without Borders. To be honest, it's rather difficult to get tasks in my language pair (English to French) because usually they are gone in no time. Yet, I'm happy that I could help the following organizations reach a part of their goals: 💊NRC - Global 👶RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) 💉Sabin Vaccine Institute 👧Save the Children USA 🚸 War Child UK 🚶♀️ Women in Migration Network This weekend, I have planned to translate the godchilds letters I received from France Parrainages, another charity I've been supporting for a while. I see how breaking language barriers is crucial for these children and their godmother or godfather. In this situation, the translator's work is to build bridges between cultures. Often, my work consists of translating in French the English translation of a Nepali or Tamul content. Doing that, you get to learn about different cultures, way of life and ways of seeing life. Do you volunteer for NGOs as a translator or a reviewer? If you don't, go for it! It's extremely rewarding. #litranslators #translation #xl8 #languageservices #freelance #volunteer #TWB #charity #translators
