We would like to congratulate all the award winners and Engineering Matters for a great night. Ben Marchant, COO and Clare Slaven, Head of Marketing collected the Silver Award for Net Zero Champion, adding to a growing collection of industry-leading awards. Papilio3 was developed by 3ti to boost the roll out of EV charging infrastructure and to help #decarbonise the transport sector. The Engineering Matters Net Zero Champion awards recognise projects, processes, and tools that make a real contribution to reducing carbon emissions. #NetZero will require new #technology to eliminate carbon emissions. It will also require smarter planning of projects and supply chains, and new tools to accurately predict, measure and report emissions. As part of the TALOS EU PROJECT, colleagues Ricardo Morales Gómez and Miguel Ángel Delgado Molina made a technical visit to the #Alqueva 🔅 floating #photovoltaic plant in Portugal. This tailored solution uses the surface of water to install floating photovoltaic panels 🌊 To harness the potential of #AI, TALOS seeks to advance the efficiency of operation and maintenance (O&M) of PV plants ✅ In this project, Isotrol is leading WP2: AI-enabled deployment tools and automated recommendation systems to reduce emissions, resource waste and costs 🔁 Thank you Pedro and Inés, from the EDP team, for leading the visit; and to the other partners, SolarCleano, FundingBox, ICONS Innovation Strategies Alisys, Ingeteam, Wageningen University & Research, Information Technologies Institute (ITI), Eden Library, Agricultural University of Athens, INESC and Tecnologia e Ciência, Desarrollo de Técnicas para Astilleros for being together in this exciting challenge.
