Great club, great story. They had no money so they re-built Grbavica with love. If you'd be interested in the next chapter......

Dear friends, 

Football Club Željezničar has undertaken an initiative to raise funds from supporters around the globe to be able to buy new seats for our stadium and to therefore be able to fulfill part of the requirements needed to comply with UEFA regulations. Our stadium was completely destroyed during the Bosnian war and we have not been able to play a UEFA game at our stadium in the past decade.  Our goal is to raise funds to finance 3,000 new seats which are estimated to cost 15,70 EUR each. We kindly ask you to consider a donation to our football club to improve our facilities and bring back joy to thousands of supporters. 

We have already raised a significant amount of donations from football players that grew up in our academy such as Edin Džeko, Semir Štilić and Ibrahim Šehć, but also from international stars such as Mix Diskerud which have heard about the initiative. 

An interesting story comes from a young boy from Sarajevo that has saved 150 EUR with the intention to buy a video game console, but that has decided to donate all of his savings to the club instead so he can watch his club play European competitions at Stadium Grbavica. His father was so proud of his son that he decided to buy him the console regardless.
