Draymond Green is no stranger to getting involved with battles away from the basketball court, and his latest bout is with none other than Charles Barkley.

Barkley, who has gained a platform by being one of the most brutally honest NBA analysts in television, was hypercritical of the Golden State Warriors after a limp start to the 2023 NBA season.

Barkley remains one of the few on television not worried about upsetting people, and whilst he does this from time-to-time, his analysis earns him a lot of respect as part of the 'Inside the NBA' panel on TNT alongside Ernie Johnson, Kenny 'The Jet' Smith and Shaquille O'Neal.

What did Charles Barkley say about Draymond Green's Golden State Warriors?

During half-time of the game between the Warriors and the Phoenix Suns, Barkley was critical of Golden State's effort levels, and he suggested that the team were 'cooked' virtually suggesting that they had long hit their limit of productivity and were now on the decline.

"I try to tell you guys. Everybody can say what they want to, I saw them fools on TV today. We are not gonna underestimate the Warriors, the Warriors are cooked," Barkley declared on 'Inside the NBA'.

Draymond Green refuted such claims

Whilst Charles Barkley has since clarified his words, suggesting he meant to say that the Warriors were 'old', which few would be able to disagree with unless it was an argument taking place between Arsenal fans on Twitter, Draymond Green has hit back at the former Phoenix Suns star.

Fans remind Draymond Green of how much he disliked Chris Paul, bringing up a video from the past

"I don't mind that, I mean, I think 'old' sounds a little harsh. I think 'old' sounds as if we look like Chuck when he was out there with the Houston Rockets. That's what 'old' looks like to me," Green told The Steam Room podcast.

"Our ages are getting up there, you can't deny that. In saying that, though, we're experienced. I think the most important thing, to Chuck's point, is us staying healthy.

"We're definitely getting older, but that ain't never stopped us from winning."
