Dallas Mavericks' Chris Kaman calls NBA's concussion testing 'stupidest test ever'

Chris Kaman remains out of the Dallas Mavericks lineup until he passes a concussion test.

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — Former Central Michigan University star Chris Kaman has not played for the Dallas Mavericks since hitting his head on the court during a practice Monday, Jan. 28.

While Kaman believes he is fit to play, he has yet to pass the NBA's concussion test, telling the Dallas Morning News that "It's the stupidest test ever."

Kaman has played in 42 games this season, averaging 12.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He is not expected to be ready to play Wednesday against Portland, but hopes to play Saturday against Golden State.

dallasnews.com:  "Hopefully, it’ll progress, I’ll take that test, pass it and hopefully be able to play sooner or later,” he said. “I’m tired of sitting around. I’d rather be playing, but at the same time, I understand there’s a proper way to do things medically to keep people safe.”
