The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching has several upcoming opportunities for professional development this September. Free high-quality professional development designed to help as school starts in the fall. NCCAT provides teachers with new knowledge, skills, teaching methods, best practices and information to take back to their classrooms.
A variety of programs are available from digital learning, literacy, science and social studies.
Thankful to participants taking part virtually in the program "Catalyzing Student Engagement & Mastery through Project Based Learning." Participants will work in a collaborative environment to develop a working knowledge of the elements of High Quality PBL, including how to leverage school and community resources to make the learning more applicable and relevant to things students care about.
The North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) has moved to a new Student Management system called Orbund. It will make applying for our programs much easier. Initial National Board Certification candidates joined the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) for a weekend of facilitated support and collaboration Feb. 21-23 in Cullowhee.
How can charter school teachers build networks of support for schools, staff, and students? With each charter school operating as an independent LEA, how do we form communities with other charter school educators to share best practices and increase community support?
