Rob Gronkowski revealed the one thing that could sever ties between him and Tom Brady: the New York Jets

Appearing on “Up & Adams” on Wednesday, the five-time Pro Bowl tight end said he wouldn’t talk to Brady if he went to the Jets before using some choice words to express how he would feel about the possibility:

“Yucky. Poop Green.”

Gronkowski and Brady paired up for three Super Bowls in their time with the Jets’ rivals the New England Patriots. Together, they combined for a 13-3 record against Gang Green, connecting for nine touchdowns.

The tight end’s loyalty to the 15-time Pro Bowl quarterback seemed to be unwavering. Gronkowski even followed Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where they teamed up for their fourth combined Super Bowl.

“I played for the Patriots for nine years,” he said. “We dislike the Jets. That’s going to be engrained in me for life. I don’t hate the Jets, we just don’t like them.”

As soon as it became clear that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ season was over, people’s minds went wild with wonder. They linked Brady, Matt Ryan and Colin Kaepernick as possible replacements for the four-time MVP.

ESPN’s Booger McFarland agrees with Gronkowski, asking those spreading those rumors to “STOP IT” on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

It’s funny that Gronkowski would ghost Brady when he hinted that he’d consider coming out of retirement for Giants head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants, of course, are the only team to beat the Patriots twice during their domination over the NFL.

Daboll dispelled any rumors that Gronkowski was taking his talents to the Meadowlands in August.

“I’m close with Rob,” Daboll told reporters. “I have a lot of respect and admiration. I coached him for four years. He’s a good friend. We’ve talked — I’m not saying we’ve talked about that but he’s a close friend.

“I coached him up for four years. He’s a very productive player for you and really a good person. We’re from the same town (but) I wouldn’t read too much into (his comments).”

On Wednesday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Jets will not pursue the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Gronkowski can breathe a sigh of relief.
