The Rolling Stones cover Muddy Waters’ ‘Champagne and Reefer’ with Buddy Guy – watch

The blues musician joined the band onstage in Milwaukee on Tuesday (June 23)

The Rolling Stones performed live with special guest Buddy Guy at a US show this week.

The band headlined a show at Milwaukee’s Marcus Ampitheater on Tuesday night (June 23), with blues musician Guy supporting the group at the gig.

During the Stones’ set, the band invited Guy onstage to cover Muddy Waters ‘Champagne and Reefer’. Watch footage of the live collaboration below.

The band performed the track with Guy at a show in New York during 2006, later shown in the Martin Scorsese documentary ‘Shine A Light’.

Meanwhile, Keith Richards recently hinted that the band may soon return to the studio to work on a new album.

Richards said to Rolling Stone: “Funny you should mention [recording]. Just last week, the word ‘studio’ popped up while we were rehearsing. I said, ‘Well, let’s find a time. I’m ready’.”

The Rolling Stones last released an album in 2005 in the form of ‘A Bigger Bang’.
