Armenian composer and pianist Tigran Hamasyan gave a Facebook Live concert on the official Armenian government Facebook page from his home in Los Angeles today. The event is part of a twice-weekly concert series initiated by the government "to make the daily lives of self-isolated and isolated citizens more interesting," according to Armenian Public Radio. Tigran Hamasyan has released two albums—Mockroot and An Ancient Observer—and the EP For Gyumri on Nonesuch Records. "I believe that our childhood experience shapes who we become when we grow into adulthood," Hamasyan said about that 2018 EP, which was named in tribute to his hometown of Gyumri, Armenia. "For Gyumri is an ode to my birthplace, the town that nourished my childhood world with great experiences and made me who I am."

Here Lies Love is up for Tonys for Best Original Score for David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, Best Sound Design of a Musical for M.L. Dogg and Cody Spencer, Best Scenic Design of a Musical for David Korins, and Best Choreography for Annie-B Parson, as well as Outer Critics Circle and Drama League awards.
