Nicknamed “El Godfather de la Salsa,” Andy Montanez will celebrate 50 years in music at his upcoming show at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx, New York

The famed musician, who hails from Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, is known for his rich, powerful vocals and gained popularity as lead vocalist of El Gran Combo from 1962 to 1976.

He’s carved a space in today’s music by creating a blend of Salsa and Reggaeton called Salsaton and has collaborated with the likes of Daddy Yankee and Julio Voltio.
