Airports

Large airport infrastructures show how “horizontal” and “vertical” planning can collaborate in a single ecosystem made up of an enormous amount of civil systems and structures, in order to guarantee a constant and uninterrupted service.

The challenges of these realities are represented by real-time management and control of all sectors, from the runway area to the disembarkation areas, from baggage control environments to the numerous commercial points. The experiences made with numerous customers in this sector have allowed us to develop platforms for controlling the life cycle of the infrastructure, from the initial planning and design phases up to the final phase of construction and future management of the work. It is in the latter moment that the BIM methodology, even more so if used right from the design phase, manages to give its best through the digitization of each of its individual components.

The set of all the design and construction site information can coexist within a management platform, generating a true digital twin of the infrastructure, for the purpose of predictive maintenance management and in compliance with sustainable objectives.

This infrastructure image depicts a fictional rendered cityscape showing: roads and highways, road rehabilitation, rail with overhead catenary and sleepers, tunnel, bridge, water structures, canal, water treatment plant, airport, land development and earth movement, and underground utilities. Captures the following Autodesk infrastructure segments in a single image: Transportation, Land, and Water.
