Common Name Kettie's Laelia [Wife of Danish Orchid Collector Waras 20th cen.]

Found in the state of Minas Gerais in mountains in rock fissures at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters with hot humid summers and cold, dry winters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with clustered, almost globose pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, thick, leathery , rigid, often purple suffused, succulent, scoop shaped, narrowly oblong to narrowly ovate, acute leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm] long, simultaneously 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
