A random selection was held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00PM, February 22nd, 2021. Subsequent to the deadline, applications are processed on a "first-come, first served" basis.

This development offers a total of three (3) affordable homes for purchase: (1) one Bedroom, (1) two bedroom and (1) three bedroom. A random selection was held on April 28th at 11:00 a.m. for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00PM, March 27th, 2022. After the deadline and prior to the date of the lottery, applications will be processed on a "first-come, first served" basis. Subsequently, the waiting list was closed.

Welcome to The Kingsley in Fairfield. Located in Essex County, these apartments are designed to help meet Fairfield's “fair share” of the growing need for affordable housing in New Jersey. The Kingsley offers 10, one-, two-, and three-bedroom, very low, low and moderate income apartments. Applicants must qualify on the basis of gross annual income. A random selection was held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11:30 AM for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00 PM, May 25th, 2022. Subsequent to the deadline and prior to June 26, 2022, applications are being processed on a "first-come, first served" basis. As of June 26, 2022, the waiting list is closed and we are no longer accepting applications.

Six 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom rental apartments have been set aside to help meet Fairfield’s “fair share” of the growing need for affordable housing in New Jersey. Rental rates listed are approximate and subject to State and Municipal regulations. Applicants must qualify on the basis of gross annual income. Because this is a new property, a random selection was held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00 p.m., March 30th, 2021. Subsequent to the deadline and prior to the close of the waiting list on May 1, 2021, applicants will be processed on a "first-come, first served" basis. The waiting list is now closed.
The View at Fairfield (Phase 2)

Welcome to The View at Fairfield. Located in Essex County New Jersey this development offers five affordable 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom apartments for rent to help meet Fairfield’s “fair share” of the growing need for affordable housing in New Jersey. Rental rates listed are approximate and subject to State and Municipal regulations. Applicants must qualify on the basis of gross annual income. A random selection was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00 PM, November 8th, 2022. Subsequent to the deadline, applicants will be processed on a "first-come, first served" basis. All of the affordable apartments are being set aside under the Veterans Preference, depending upon the interest of qualified veterans. Qualified veterans must be income qualified AND be eligible under N.J.A.C. 54:4-8.10 AND be able to provide form DD214 to verify qualified service as set forth therein. If the list of qualified veterans is exhausted, we will use the established waiting list for the first phase of The View to fill those remaining units.

Woodcrest at Fairfield

Woodcrest at Fairfield is a premiere adult residential community located in the township of Fairfield in Essex County, NJ. 26 one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments are being set aside as affordable rental apartments with reduced rents for low and moderate income-qualified households. Minimum and maximum income, credit standards and other requirements will apply. Preliminary applications are processed on a "first come, first served basis. Although Woodcrest is primarily an active adults community (at least one person must be 55 years or older), 10 of the 26 affordable apartments are open to qualified households of any age. These non-age-restricted apartments include a combination of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The remaining 16 age-restricted apartments are all one-bedroom units.
