Published on 25 July 2023

In a significant advance for international cooperation in artificial intelligence research, the Berkeley APEC Study Center and SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence announce their collaboration. This unique and promising agreement paves the way for an in-depth exploration of the impact of AI on business, society, and regulations while enriching academic discourse through an interdisciplinary and cross-sectional approach.

The Berkeley APEC Study Center (BASC), led by Professor Vinod Aggarwal, and the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), directed by Professor Margherita Pagani, have signed a five-year renewable agreement.

This agreement aims to explore the impact of AI on business, society, and regulations, opening the door to a myriad of joint activities such as faculty, researcher and postdoc exchanges, student and graduate exchanges, and participation in academic seminars in France and the United States. Amid these developments, Vinod Aggarwal visited the facilities of SKEMA's Grand Paris campus, marking his interest in this promising synergy and the hybridisation of knowledge, which forms a key element of SKEMA's educational commitment.
