    The 2024 Subaru Solterra gives you a new way to explore our world. It features an advanced all-electric, zero-emission StarDrive® electric powertrain and uses the e-Subaru Global Platform. Plus, Solterra is the first AWD electric vehicle to feature our legendary standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. It’s also our most advanced SUV ever, featuring a charge time reduced by about half and improved cold-weather charging for 2024. There’s state-of-the-art technology like a stunning available 12.3-inch touchscreen and a standard DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System, along with the segment-leading capability of 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

    The Solterra lets you explore the outdoors and help protect it at the same time. The advanced StarDrive electric powertrain means no tailpipe emissions and no need for gasoline or oil changes, so every mile has significantly less impact on the environment. The Solterra is the latest example of our commitment to safeguarding the natural world we all share through sustainable transportation — and it’s just the beginning.

    Improved DC Fast Charging

    The 2024 Solterra can fast-charge in about half the time as the previous model, now taking about 35 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% using its built-in fast-charge capability. The StarDrive powertrain gives Solterra an EPA-estimated range of up to 227 miles with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as well as a variety of options for fast and convenient charging, both at home and on the go. The Solterra comes with a charger that works with any standard 120V outlet for Level 1 charging. You can also have a 240V Level 2 charger installed at home so you can plug in overnight and wake up each morning with a full charge.

    Improved Cold-Weather Charging

    Charging your Solterra is fast and easy even when you’re heading out for cold-weather fun. The upgraded charging system on the 2024 Solterra now charges two times faster at 32 degrees and four times faster at 14 degrees, helping keep you on the go no matter the conditions.

    Free Subaru Just Drive Car Rentals

    For extended cross-country road trips or backcountry expeditions way off the grid, Solterra owners get 10 free days of Subaru Just Drive car rentals. With Just Drive, you can choose from a selection of vehicles in the Subaru fleet and rent directly from a participating Subaru retailer. With Just Drive, you’re not just getting a rental car; you’re getting the extra peace of mind that comes with all the safety, capability, and quality Subaru vehicles are known for.

    Conserving Our Parks

    As the largest corporate donor to the National Park Foundation, Subaru has a long history of commitment to protecting our nation’s greatest treasures, helping conserve over 85 million acres of land in America’s more than 400 national parks. Subaru has provided over $70 million to organizations working to conserve our parks, helping fund efforts such as recycling, composting, and waste reduction operations. Subaru has also donated its zero-landfill expertise and funding to the parks to help them become more sustainable through the Subaru “Don’t Feed the Landfills” initiative.

  • Every 2024 Solterra features standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technologies, which act like an extra set of eyes on the road and, if need be, an extra foot on the brake when you drive. These advanced active safety systems monitor traffic movement, optimize cruise control, and warn you when you’re swaying outside your lane.

  • The Pre-Collision System can apply full braking force and bring you to a complete stop in emergency situations.

  • Traffic Jam Assist helps make traveling through congestion safer and easier by providing hands-free steering assistance with driver supervision in low-speed traffic jams (up to 25 MPH) on most major highways. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist can take some of the stress out of driving by helping with steering, braking, and throttle control — both in daily traffic and on long road trips.

    DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System and Front Cross-Traffic Alert

    Working in conjunction with EyeSight, the standard DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, new for 2024, is like having an attentive co-pilot along for the ride, available to give a helpful alert if a driver becomes distracted or drowsy. This system is designed to enhance the effectiveness of other safety systems while also increasing passenger safety within the vehicle. If its steering-column-mounted camera detects a distracted, drowsy, or incapacitated driver, it will provide an alert. DriverFocus also combines with other safety systems such as Emergency Driving Stop System by allowing them to intervene earlier when necessary. Front Cross-Traffic Alert, also new for 2024, watches for unexpected traffic from either side and can alert you to approaching vehicles — including those that may not be visible from the driver’s seat.

Specifically designed for all-electric vehicles, the e-Subaru Global Platform is the most rigid vehicle platform we’ve ever built, featuring strategic crumple zones and a reinforced structure for secure crash protection.

Standard dual-function X-MODE with settings for snow/dirt and deep snow/mud lets you choose the perfect traction setting to match conditions for enhanced stability and control, even while going down hills. It’s everything you need in an electric off-road SUV.

    Subaru StarDrive® with Driving Mode Select and S-Pedal

    Subaru StarDrive offers an enhanced driving experience through Driving Mode Select, which lets you choose from Normal Mode for typical trips, Eco Mode to conserve battery power, and an extra-responsive Power Mode. This advanced technology is engineered with the latest breakthroughs in electric vehicle technology to deliver substantial on-demand torque at all speeds for exciting everyday driving. Steering-wheel-mounted paddles give the ability to dial in your preferred level of regenerative braking, while S-Pedal Drive adds even more braking to help reduce the fatigue of switching between gas and brake pedals.

    With Solterra Connect, your Solterra and your smartphone make a great team. You can unlock and start select Solterra models using just your smartphone. Remote Start with Climate Control, accessible via the Solterra Connect app, lets you set your preferred temperature so your drive is perfect from start to finish. Advanced Park is an available automatic self-parking system that can be engaged while at the wheel to take the hassle out of parking.

    Intelligent Assistant

    Intelligent Assistant is a voice-activated vehicle interface for safer, easier use of navigation, media, and other vehicle features and tasks. If you subscribe through Solterra Connect, Intelligent Assistant can also direct you to the nearest charging stations.
