Singer and composer Tiago Bettencourt gives a concert, which promises to be "memorable", on November 16th, at 21 pm, in the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão.

The musician, who made himself known with Toranja, then went on to pursue a solo career, and on stage, he will interpret the greatest hits of his career.

Author of several reference compositions of new Portuguese music, it was more than 10 years ago that Tiago Bettencourt embarked on what would be his first studio adventure, with the group Toranja, forever marking the Portuguese music scene.

In 2006, when Toranja announced an extended break, Tiago Bettencourt headed to Canada and, with Mantha as his support band, recorded the album “Jardim”, produced by Howard Billarman (producer of Funeral of Arcade Fire), edited in 2007 , with hits like “Canção Simples”, “O Jogo”, “O Lugar” and “O Jardim”.

In 2010, he edited “Em Fuga”, also produced by Howard Bilerman, with the single “Só Mais Uma Volta” and songs like “Chocemos Tu e Eu” or “Caminho de Voltar”.

At the end of 2011 “Tiago na Toca e os Poetas” was published. In this album, which is accompanied by a book, Tiago musics poems by Portuguese authors such as Florbela Espanca and José Carlos Ary dos Santos, in the company of friends Carminho, Camané or Pedro Gonçalves (Dead Combo), among others.

This was followed by “Acústico” in 2012 and “Do Princípio” in 2014, where it featured three luxury collaborations, in addition to its usual musicians. In this album, Tiago renews himself presenting, among others, the surprising “Aquilo Que Eu Não Fiz”, “Morena” and “Maria”.

In 2017, “A Procura”, the sixth album of his career, appeared. Here, the musician takes us on a journey that brings together troubadour acoustics, pop and discreet electronics.

Tickets for this show cost 12 euros and are on sale at the Municipal Auditorium and at Ticketline network.
