Sinbad's funniest friends will be sharing the stage in Nashville to raise funds for the comedian as he continues to recover from a stroke.

"1 For Sinbad" takes place Monday, June 14 at the Ryman Auditorium. Performers include Arnez J., Bruce Bruce, D.L. Hughley, Earthquake, Faizon Love, J. Anthony Brown and Lavell Crawford.

The family of Sinbad (born David Adkins) revealed last November that the 64-year-old star of TV's "A Different World" and films like "Jingle All The Way" and "Houseguest" had suffered a stroke.

"While he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon," the Adkins family said.

Sinbad's social media accounts have remained dormant, but the comedian is booked to return to the stage for an Indiana cancer benefit in November.

"1 For Sinbad" is part of the 2021 Nashville Comedy Festival, which continues through Wednesday with a performance by David Spade at the Ryman.
