a href="https://thejakartapost.com/tag/one-championship" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ONE Championship is well-known for its diverse range of martial arts. From submission grappling to mixed martial arts, the Singapore-based promotion boasts a wealth of talent across its sport.

But one, in particular, stands out in the organization, and that is Muay Thai. “The art of eight limbs” brings a special type of intensity to the Circle, and the stars of ONE are among the very best in the world.

ONE Fight Night 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II, which takes place on Aug. 27 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, is set to feature several intriguing Muay Thai battles.

Before the card takes place, we look at three reasons why the striking art is unmissable any time it takes center stage in ONE.

#1 A Roster Of Superstars

Some of the biggest names in Muay Thai have made themselves at home within ONE. One name that comes to mind is ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, a legendary athlete who has won four Lumpinee Stadium World Championships.

As the reigning king of the bantamweight Muay Thai division, Nong-O has battled and beaten the likes of Rodlek PK.Saenchai and Saemapetch Fairtex, to name a few.

Nong-O will be back in action at ONE Fight Night 1 when he defends his World Title for the sixth time against another striking veteran, England’s Liam Harrison, in the co-main event.

#2 Grand Prix Tournaments Like No Other

ONE's Muay Thai World Grand Prix feature the organization's most ferocious strikers.

The ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix is currently underway, and has brought together eight of the best flyweights in the world to compete for the tournament's silver belt and a shot at divisional-king Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The semifinal round will take place at ONE Fight Night 1, with Rodtang taking on Savvas Michael and Thai sensation Superlek Kiatmoo9 battling Walter Goncalves.

#3 Memorable Fights That Steal The Show

ONE’s Muay Thai warriors consistently produced electric performances when they step inside the Circle.

Fans are guaranteed an intense scrap whenever Muay Thai is on the card. It does not matter if the fight goes the distance or if it ends in an instant, every fight produces at least one or two golden moments.

For example, when Harrison faced off with Muangthai PK.Saenchai at ONE 156: Eersel vs. Sadikovic this past April, there were a total of five knockdowns in a single round, and the fight will live on as one of the best examples of Muay Thai’s intensity ever seen.

Catch all the action at ONE Fight Night 1 on NETVERSE, Vidio.com, Kaskus TV and MAXstream at 7 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Aug. 27. The main card will follow on NETVERSE, Vidio.com, Kaskus TV and MAXstream at 9 a.m. WIB. Also, NET TV will air a same-day delay at 10:30 p.m. WIB.
