Biased reviews

Like nearly everyone else, I feel this site is completely unreliable and has other motives for its reviews. I looked up a product that it described as ‘one clear winner’ with 9.9/10 score. When I followed link to Amazon it scored 3.5/5 over 200+ reviews with 20% of customers giving it only 1 star. It’s also one of the more expensive of the items. Then there is the fact that all links take you to Amazon, so you can only figure this is heavily sponsored by them.

Solely Marketeers

I suspected that this site was manipulating 'review' results for its own ends. One of the microphones I had been researching on-line appeared at the top of their top ten of mikes. Then, some hours later, I was checking out another mike and I happened to stumble again upon uk.bestreviews.guide to discover that the 'review' results had changed once again to incorporate the second mike into the top ten.

Nothing more needs said.

Doing a search for tilt-shift lenses…

Doing a search for tilt-shift lenses brought this site up with a "top 10". Looking at the selected lenses, 7 of 10 were reviews of the same lens (with different brand names or no brand name at all); the other three were adapters. No expected lens brands (Canon, Nikon, Samyang) came up in the list. The lens that appears seven times has tilt capability but no shift capability and it is a simple ball joint with a tensioning screw - not suitable for fine adjustments doing serious work. I suspect it is a fake site pushing products in which it has financial interests.

Utter rubbish and lies

Utter rubbish! Recently I was searching for a pool cleaning robot and bestreviews.co.uk came up with the top 10 list of best pool robots. Their number 2 choice of best pool robots is.... a lawn mower!! They obviously have no intention but to offer click bait to potential buyers. What a complete load of nonsense.

Great Review, poor product.

I bought a HOMEK Office Chair Mat for Carpet Floors because it was No 1 on their list. It didn't last a year. It started fragmenting. Don't trust this site.

Do not trust this site

This promotion site always appears whenever I look up recommendations online. DO NOT TRUST THEIR "REVIEWS".

After being conned into believing their reviews on several occasions and, without fail, being disappointed with every single recommendation I've finally taken to posting this review.

My latest experience was searching for an air fryer cookbook. I had already purchased one from Amazon and sent it back immediately. It was basically a plagiarised collection of recipes. Individual recipes mixed temperatures between Fahrenheit and Celcius and weights were mixed between metric and imperial, all in the same recipes. It had the appearance of being home printed, on an inkjet printer. There was no ISBN number, the disclaimer related to American copyright law. The list of issues went on and on but, for me, the worst was that recipes were printed in a way that, for many, you have to turn the page to read the complete recipe, when your hands are likely to be contaminated with the cooking ingredients. This last issue was clearly evident in the Amazon reviews of the item that this company recommended as a best buy! What a complete and utter joke of a service.

AVOID THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS LIKE THE PLAGUE

A Bunch of BS in a Nice Package

The "Reviews" on this site are just recapitulations of the product's website literature. They claim to be a survey of surveys so-to-speak, but I don't trust them at all.

Here are (4 x 1-star reviews) on…

Here are (4 x 1-star reviews) on amazon.co.uk for a product this website recommended as best out of 10 items on a best products 2020 review:

Hilka 83850400 Jump Starter Power Bank, 400 A

1) I bought this charger in October 2021 for my daughter's car whilst she is at Uni. I wanted to be sure she was okay if the car battery needed to be started. It has been used twice. But it has now died. She needed to use it last night. The car battery was flat. It didn't start the engine. When trying to remove it, it erupted with loads of steam coming out of it.
Was the steam acid? What was it?? This is very worrying.

2) This product did not live up to its advertised claims and was faulty on delivery.
After receiving the Jump Starter, I attempted to fully charge as instructed - it wouldn’t charge! The product felt flimsy and very lightweight!
On return I found that the post office weighed the whole package - the double box wrapping and accessories only came to 679 grams…. The product was advertised as weighing 800 grams by itself.
Not good enough….. Avoid this product.

3) Absolutely rubbish, non branded, cheap, went from 100% to off with one turn of the key. Pay a little more and buy a branded one.

4) FIRE RISK, Dont buy unless you want to set your car alight.

I live in Germany but cannot access the UK web page

I live in Germany but despite clicking on the UK link for Best Reviews I get transferred every time to a German website that bears absolutely no relation to what I am looking for other than that it is a direct translation of “best reviews”.
