What's New for the 2023 GMC Canyon?

The 2023 GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado will receive new bones after almost ten years. The Canyon and Colorado have always been identical, but only to a certain extent. Both trucks have always had similar powertrains, a comfortable ride, and an unimpressive inside. They will each get a specific off-road equivalent this year and be completely redesigned inside and out for 2023.

For 2023, the GMC Canyon is completely redesigned, and the AT4X off-road trim is a brand-new model. The factory-installed 3.0-inch lift and 33-inch mud-terrain tires on the AT4X enable 10.7 inches of additional ground clearance. Every Colorado receives a height enhancement, with Elevation versions receiving a 2.0-inch raise. A 17-inch set of beadlock-capable wheels, cameras, bumpers, light bars, and a winch in the Edition 1 package from GMC.

What Are the 2023 GMC Canyon Trims & Features?

18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, an Off-Road Performance Display, and an 11.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are among the Canyon Elevation's amenities. The Canyon AT4 has perforated leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and a memory driver seat. The Canyon Denali trim boasts a Bose 7-speaker audio system, a wireless charging pad, and a heated steering wheel. The AT4X trim adds a wireless charging pad, leather seats, and a head-up display.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2023 GMC Canyon Have?

The Canyon will use Chevy's turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engines with various outputs depending on trim level. It will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, we have yet to receive official information from GMC regarding the 2023 Canyon powertrains. GMC has announced that the 2.7-liter inline-four engine with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque will come standard on AT4X vehicles. Other Colorado options we anticipate seeing on the Canyon include the base engine, which produces 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, and a version with 301 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque.
