If you want to plan your summer holiday at home, you don't necessarily need to have all the nautical charts to hand. The Swedish map service Eniro works in a similar way to Google Maps, but offers the option of displaying nautical charts. For Sweden, Norway and Finland, the information content of the official chart sheets has been available for several years. The data is not necessarily up to date and should not be used for navigation. However, this does not play a major role when planning a trip and estimating distances.
Thanks to a contract concluded in March between Eniro and the Danish Geodatastyrelsen, the nautical chart view can now also be used in Danish waters, but so far only via the Swedish version of the website Eniro.se. To access the nautical charts, click on "Karta" on the start page. Then open the "Sjökort mm" menu on the right and activate the nautical chart view by clicking on "Sjökort".
The practical measurement function for route planning is hidden at the bottom right behind the penultimate icon. Select "Measure" and use the mouse to create a route.
