S Blair has had numerous grants and contracts from the National Institutes <strong>of</strong> <strong>Health</strong> (NIH) and<br />

other organizations to support research and pr<strong>of</strong>essional activities. Highlights include:<br />

Aerobics Center Longitudinal Study was funded for over 20 years by the National Institute on<br />

Aging (NIA)(AG06945)<br />

NIH funding for 5 randomized clinical trials from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute<br />

and NIA.<br />

Total research funding from the NIH for the above and other projects over the past 25+ years has<br />

been in the range <strong>of</strong> $25-30 million.<br />
