Les Délices Lafrenaie

Can't have Halloween without the necessary pumpkin flavoured treats right?... But this is the the first time we've ever seen a pumpkin cheesecake! We were delighted to discover this delicious, thick yet light, full and... Very VERY large one at @deliceslafrenaie. The traditional pumpkin pie was equally wonderful and this is coming from a group of people who, as previously stated, aren't even fans of pumpkin. Yes, it was THAT good. They were the highlight of our yearly Halloween party sweet table.

Les Délices Lafrenaie, brought me back to my trip in Europe where I was amazed on how desserts are just perfectly sweetened (in Qc everything is generally too sweet). Am talking here about the little cookies and pastries you buy in the plastic boxes.

Tons of lemon flavored selections too :)

As for the mega desserts/cakes, though I generally do not eat these kind of cakes, I tasted 2 or 3 of them and always very good to me.

My no 1 place for desserts and pasta in Rosemere!

We ordered a custom 2 layer cake for my daughter's birthday and overall we were very happy with what we got. The cake was quite expensive but we knew that going in. The cake was beautifully created and tasted great as well. Each layer was a different flavor and feedback from my guests was overwhelmingly positive. Ordering is easy to do and all in all the product was 5 stars...

However I'm docking 2 stars due to their poor delivery methods. How exactly is delivering a children's cake at 4 PM deemed acceptable? Do they truly believe children parties are held at 7 PM? We called multiple times to get this delivery done earlier but we were told that deliveries were handled elsewhere. Was delivering this in the morning or before 2 PM that hard to manage?

I had to remind them I didn't care about where deliveries were being handled as long it got delivered conveniently. After all, if I paid you for the cake and you have another location delivering.... my expectation is that you'll still handle it!! They delay of the cake caused delays on our end as well, nothing dramatic but we had a guest leave earlier and couldn't be there for the big cake hoopla. It would have been nice to avoid that!

Anyways, I'll use them again in the future but will definitely not use their delivery service.
