Most uneven tire wear results from under/over inflation, vehicle alignment, wheel balance, untimely rotation, and worn out shocks. The front tire looks to be balance and shocks. There is no reversing the pattern on that one at this stage.

What do you mean no reversing the pattern? Sorry, not sure what that means.

Over or under inflation will usually result in excess wear down the center or edges respectively. Alignment and balance issues will give you the wear you're seeing. If you make it a habit of parking on curbs (like a Jeep owner) and other obstacles you could get some tire damage. Your camber could be off too. It doesn't look too bad but you may be past the point of no return. Find a friendly tire shop to take a look and see if they can just balance it.

That particular tire will never be completely smooth again. Correcting any issues that resulted in the uneven wear would make the next tire wear better.

Thank you both for the explanations. Its just so odd to me that it would wear differently on the same spot. Ex. The video shows the white where its touching the driveway surface and black where it isnt, even on the same "pad" of the tread.

So what is the "proper" inflation psi of a 35x12.5x20? Mickey Thompson Baja ATZp3. I 5hink im running them around 50-55psi. Max is 65psi

I would say definitely tire alignment. from these pictures, I checked the video as well. Go get the front end aligned and swap the tires front to back. you might eventually get the tire worn back to normal. Have the tire balanced as well.

Thank you! As this is my first real truck with a lift and larger tires, do I need to take it to any specialized alignment shop or will any normal car place be able to properly align my truck?

The 4x4 shop that I had do the initial install of the lift and tires is now closed, so I cannot take it back there.

You will just have to ask and see. I did want to mention it could possibly be a blown strut / shock, but it think you would notice that. Those cups are putting a lot of extra wear on the suspension on that side.

Ill be replacing the fronts with Bilstein 5160's and then taking it to a Ford service center for alignment and rotation. We shall see...

Changed out the front shocks today, and it seems that may have been one of the issues. Will update again when i get it aligned and rotated.
