GRBAVICA STADIUM

“Stadion Grbavica” has been completely renovated with a great success by Greentech Sod. The well- known Bosnian & Herzegovinian football team FK Željezničar is now ready to play all its matches in a completely new football stadium.
 
The projects that Greentech Sod undertook were:
 
-  Ground works
- Installation of new drainage system. The drainage system was constructed according to the SHELTON DRAINAGE SYSTEM of linear arrangement.
- Installation of new irrigation system
- Installation of natural turf (Hellasod variety “Olympico North”)
- Installation of synthetic turf peripheral around the main sport field
-Installation of Electric heating of the pitch
 
The “Olympico North” sod variety that was installed is the ideal for sport field use, due to its high quality varieties of seeds mixture, following the international sport fields standards of FIFA-UEFA.

This high quality sod variety is excellent resistant to intense use due to its wear tolerance for heavy use.

The installation of the new sod was done using the bigroll method (sod rolls of 1,20m. width X 30 m. long).

The field was delivered in perfect condition thanks to the company’s professionalism and special know-how. Therefore, after the works were completed, the famous Sarajevo team, FK Željezničar, was able to play its first scheduled European match at home –UEFA Europa League- against JK Narva Trans.
