Manuela Testolini

Prince’s Ex Wife – Manuela Testolini Wiki (Bio, Age, Children, Eric Benet, Pics)

The famous musician who started out as Prince Nelson Rogers, then went on to have more than a handful of names and pseudonyms had an ex-wife who ended up being successful after their divorce before the pop / soul / funk stars death. Many people always thought he was completely homosexual and didn’t even know that he was ever married to a woman. Well, that’s what we’re talking about here though – his ex-wife Manuela Testolini, one of the most successful business women who was married to Prince between the years of 2001 up to 2006, and the current wife of one of Halle Barry’s ex-husbands.

The Many Names of Prince, and How Her Relationship Began

Prince was known by a long list of names; always out to shock the public with something random. First he was Prince, then when he wrote songs for other people he went by a lot of various names (such as Paisley Park, The Starr Company, Joey Coco, Christopher, and more), but he was prominently known to be named Prince, The Purple One, The Symbol (the love symbol), The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, The Artist, Prince yet again, and then the artist formerly known as the “the artist formerly known as prince”… you get the idea.

Either way, despite his seemingly multiple personalities, Prince ended up meeting a woman that made him happy – for a time. Most people don’t even know that she’s 43 years old, and a lot of people don’t even know that she wasn’t born originally in America. But here’s some facts about her:

  • Manuela testolini was born in Canada – Toronto to be exact.
  • She still remains active in honoring her ex-husband, Prince, through event, music, and more.
  • She created the company Camillah, Inc. that designs candles and has numerous other smaller venues. She is also the current president of the production company.
  • She was involved in YouthCARE in the past, and even had ties with the UCAP (United Communities Against Poverty).
  • Manuela founded the non-profit organization known as  A Perfect World which helps teach leadership skills to children.

The Origin Story of Testolini and Prince

When Testolini was working on numerous non-profit organizations to try and get them more money so they could remain active, she ended up meeting the artist known as Prince. She was working on a consultation service that helped one of Toronto’s women and children’s shelters that was about to close down.

While she got ahold of numerous other organizations to help keep the shelter open, one of them that she was told that she didn’t even realize was Prince’s organizations – Love 4 One Another. Fortunately, his organization was the first one that responded and came to the beckon call to rescue the women’s shelter.

Manuela Testolini ended up working with the artist on numerous projects that the Love 4 One Another organization had going, and eventually, she was hired on full time for her constant on again and off again work. She admitted to the press that she sparked an interest for Prince even more when she realized that many of the places where he did a show were also places where he had projects going on for. Over time, Prince and Testolini ended up connecting on a more personal level and eventually getting married a year after she got her job.

The Strange, Yet Peaceful Divorce Between the Two

After they were married for nearly a half a decade, nobody really knew about Prince’s and Testolini’s personal life and marriage. Every once in a while, they attended public events, but when asked, they never shared anything about their lives either. When she married Prince, she ended up adopting his official last name, but she filed for divorce towards the end of 2006, and ultimately had it finalized the following year. There were some things about their marriage that came to light which we don’t know (only the courts know about it) regarding the downsides she endured during her marriage to Prince.

Some things, such as Prince locking her out of her home and packing her personal belongings in 2005 came about, which showed his abusive ways that had been heard about back during his “Purple Rain” years.

More About Prince

Prince Nelson (also known by many names), was more of a philanthropist than many people knew. While it was known that he created a non-profit organization, many people didn’t know just how generous he was even though he was a musical superstar. Despite his fame, Testolini pointed out that when it came to doing shows for good, Prince was more about doing things for a cause rather than about his own life and fame or fortune.

Sometimes, he’d ended up even helping families out, and then show them just who he was when they received help so he could give them special treatment for his concerts. This way, he was able to help further his music career, but it’s not what it was for him. It was more of a way for him to reach out to those who his org was assisting, even if he didn’t do something himself. Some projects ended up getting special treatment from Prince’s organization, such as a women and children’s shelter that literally went from living into a classroom, to their very own building, and having everything handed to them from clothes to the building itself, as well as accessories and items.

Prince was always wanting to help children were in desperate need, such as homeless and the challenged kids in the United States that had problems with the foster care system, or those that had gone through severe abuse. He also catered frequently to women who were in need of support and shelter from spousal abuse as well.

Conclusion

Testolini ended up finding love after being together with Eric Benet, a famous singer who ended up writing the song “Spend My Life With You” and proposing to her with a giant and glamorous diamond ring. After Prince passed away, Testolini still lives her philanthropic life, but still does everything to remember and honor her ex-husband since their relationship was not always bad.
