Abu Kamara continues to win plaudits and recognition for his stunning performances with promotion-bound Portsmouth. 

The attacker has been a popular player among supporters, players and coaches alike since joining from Norwich City on loan last season and was pivotal in their Good Friday victory over Wycombe Wanderers. 

Promotion to the Championship can be secured in the coming weeks, with John Mousinho's side sitting 11 points clear of third-placed Bolton with six matches remaining. 

Kamara has been an integral member of their side, recording 18 goal contributions in 40 League One appearances - including another two assists in their 3-1 victory at Adams Park. 

Pompey striker Colby Bishop, who profited from Kamara's creativity to bag a brace, has hailed the City youngster. 

"He was unplayable all game. It's scary how good he could be. Obviously, he is good now, but his potential is scary," Bishop told BBC Radio Solent. 

"It's probably just a bit of belief in how good he is because he's a humble kid but he's going to be a top, top player. He is very special. 

"It would be lovely, wouldn't it? (To have him back at Pompey) But I think there will be a lot of clubs who aren't letting him come back here."

City are hoping to have Kamara as part of their first-team squad next season having been impressed with his performance level at Fratton Park. 

Underpinning fine performances has been humility and a hunger to improve, which means he is set to return to Carrow Road as a more accomplished performer. 

"Abs’ form recently has been outstanding, he’s such a great lad, he wants to learn and is really humble," Portsmouth assistant Jon Harley said.

"The way we play, we want to try to isolate him one-v-one because, as a full-back myself, I would hate to play against him. I am sure every full-back would do in that position.

"He can go outside, he can come inside, and he has an end product now, which, credit to him, is something he’s really been working on and really improved on as the season has progressed.

"Abu has been excellent and outstanding for us. Hopefully this can continue for the remainder of the season at least."
