The 2021 Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc opens with all the aromas you would expect from Marlborough: grapefruit, tropical fruit, grass and a little green pepper. It's a very pleasing start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be fresh, with crisp acidity, a vibrant mouthfeel and delicious depth on the fruit flavors which are similar to the nose. With some continuing notes of green pepper and good balance, this is a super nice example of Sauvignon Blanc.
It ends dry, crisp and long on the refreshing, lip-smacking finish. This is a nice wine to stock up on for warmer weather.
